I like it! Double Rich Chocolate!Cannot give 5 stars as this is the first time using any such product. I am 48 and have been on a consistent workout/body building regime. I take it once a day immediately after workouts 5 days a week.I also have my nutrition dialed in. I know I am doing those others things right, but it is not my first time getting in shape and have seen pretty good results. Its help me keep my protein macros where I need them by not taking in extra fat (This is not a replacement for food based protein). I feel it has reduced my recovery time. Some could be contributed to increase workout frequency, but never saw such quick results, so I attribute "some" of the gains with the inclusion of this product.It tastes pretty good on its own, but mix with a half a banana a and a few ounces of skim milk and ice--you got yourself a pretty damn good smoothie treat.I will be buying more. (wish companies sold sampler packs to try different flavors)4Muscles immediately swell and become engorgedI love nitro tech gold powder. I drink two shakes a day and when I go to work out my muscles immediately become swoll and engorged. I've never had a powder that really delivers awesome and immediate results after the first shake. This product does not disappoint.5Very good proteinI've tried my fair share of whey proteins over the years and for a long time I was using a popular store brand that had all the BCAA's included as well that I desired. I didn't have any major gripe with it other than the price was hard to bite off for the quantity they offered. Since then I've discovered this protein and I have to say this is excellent stuff. I see the same, if not better, gains and recovery as I have with other brands with a similar composition but you get SO MUCH more for your money with this stuff. I'm already on my third tub and I have no plans on switching!Oh and it tastes great and mixes really well. I sometimes mix with milk and sometimes with water, both taste pretty good.5if a protein shake tastes great with just mixing it with waterI have been bodybuilding for over 16 years now and i have had thousands of protein shakes! For me, if a protein shake tastes great with just mixing it with water... you got a winner!!! I have heard plenty of people say it's not about the taste if you are serious enough as a lifter. Well, if you have gag reflexes every time you drink your protein drink, chances are that you will not be drinking that protein for very long regardless of how serious of a lifter you are! You have to have something that tastes relatively good. Nitro Tech Whey Gold Double Rich Chocolate is amazing! Over the years i have been increasingly impressed with how much better the taste of MuscleTech's protein powders have gotten. In the past they were great quality protein, but didn't taste the best. Now Nitro Tech Whey Gold Performance Series tastes incredible! I like to use cool water in a shaker cup and it simply tastes amazing! Reminds me of a chocolate malt! It's like Christmas day for me when i discover a new protein that tastes great because they are hard to come by. If you are a taste bud chaser when it comes to protein... this is wonderful product that you will have you running back to make more protein drinks! After many years with tremendous results, I decided to switch things up a bit when I saw this product. I am quite glad I did so. The strawberry flavor is amazing and doesn't leave you with that "whey aftertaste." Anyone who drinks shakes on the regular knows what I'm talking about. I can feel an obvious difference between days that I drink this post-workout and days that I don't. Great taste, great results, I found my new go-to5Great taste and only 2 carbs per servingI started protein a couple days ago. I like the double rich chocolate taste. It is my second favorite flavor since I switched to muscle tech products. I like that it doesn t mess with my stomach and mixes well. It is nice that the protein has 5.5g of BCAA s in each serving. Also there is only 2g of carbs.4All in all, a solid tasting protein with a more flexible profile in terms of macros.This is my second protein product from MuscleTech. The last product I tried was MuscleTech Nitro-Tech in Milk Chocolate. Comparatively, this product contains less protein per serving (24 vs 30g) and does not contain any creatine. The absence of creatine is helpful, especially if you already taking creatine separately. It allows you to optimize the amount of creatine that you are consuming daily.In terms of taste, I find that it does a good job of imitating a cookies and cr me flavour. It does have a similar taste to drinking an Oreo McFlurry that has melted. It does not have the strong whey taste that some protein powders usually carry. There are some artificial chemical aftertastes element as well. Of course, you wouldn t expect it to taste exactly the same as a real ice-cream desert. I also find that the thickness when mixed with water is different than regular Nitrotech. If you want a watery protein drink, then this would be suitable for you. Strangely enough, despite this, I found the mixibility worse compared to the regular Nitro Tech.This drink provides the satiety after consumption, which is nice as a snack, or after a workout giving you a hunger-buffer before you can consume a meal with real food.It seems the volume per scoop is also consistently large with this brand. In this regard, it will a) fill up youf protein shaker easier (a good or bad thing), and b) contain less servings per x/lb of a tub. Take that into consideration when calculating what you need monthly.All in all, a solid tasting protein with a more flexible profile in terms of macros.4Best Tasting MuscleTech Whey SO FAR!This is, so far, my favorite Muscle Tech Whey. The cookies and cream flavor is, by far, the most subtle and best tasting and the whey it's self is a fine powder easy for blending, but I have also been using a shaker and it handles within about 30 seconds. I typically use skim milk when mixing. The price point is on par and truly this is the best i've had so far. I can see results already.5Real Whey ProteinI always check the quality of my protein pouring boiling water on top of the protein. If your protein coagulates and make something like a lumps it means that is a real protein. Many fake whey proteins don t make lumps and just dissolves completely like a milk powder.I ve got this 5.5lb of Muscletech for an amazing price so I decided to test it same day to make sure it s not fake. I can tell that s a real protein. Good quality. Good price. Good deal! Photo attached!5Great Protein!Of all the protein s I have used over the years this is by far one of the best tasting I have ever had. Along with the great flavor is the easiest mixing as well. Muscletech proves once again why they are the industry s go to for the best supplements. This will be my new staple for on the go protein as it delivers a great balance of required protein and with the bonus of all the required BCAA s. I feel confidant taking this on a regular basis knowing all the science that back s their great products. Well worth the money!5
