Rigid anterior and posterior (front and back) panels effectively control flexion and extension by providing critical support to the back and abdomen. The posterior panel is inserted into a pocket and extends from the L1 to the L5 vertebra to provide total contact over the Para spinal muscles. This innovative design stabilizes the lumbar spine, maintains correct posture and reduces or relieves pain. The anatomically conforming fit and adjustable closure offers compression variation for additional comfort and support. The APD Rigid Lumbar Support is indicated for post-operative lumbar immobilization, chronic low back pain, degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis or whenever spinal control of extension and flexion is required.
