\"Hefe\" means yeast, \"Weizen\" means wheat. Long ago in the south of Germany, the two combined to create this tasty sought-after wheat beer. Fast forward to 2000, when a homebrewer named Hank introduced us to his Hefeweizen beer recipe, and weve been selling it ever since!\n\nThis popular non-hoppy Hefeweizen beer recipe kit delights a wide range of beer lovers with its medium body and effervescence. Fill a stein and serve with a slice of lemon. Prost!\n\nBrewing Notes\n\nStyle: Hefeweizen\nFermentation Range: 65-70F\nOriginal Gravity: 1.052\nSRM: 5\nIBUs: 16\nABV: 5.1%\n\nTasting Notes\n\nAroma: Moderate bready wheat malt aroma plays second fiddle to prominent clovey phenolics and fruity banana esters. No hop aroma.\nAppearance: Deep golden in color with a medium-high haziness. Bright white and lasting foam head.\nFlavor: Moderate, balanced flavors of banana and clove are the most noticeable, with plush, bready and slightly grainy wheat malt flavors in the background. Low hop bitterness balances any perceived malt sweetness. Finishes dry with no hop flavor.\nMouthfeel: Medium-low body without any overly heavy character. Very smooth and soft on the palate with moderate creaminess and a velvety finish.
