AliMed Turnbuckle Knee Orthosis applies gentle, low-load force to knee contractures from 45 degrees flexion to 10 degrees hyperextension. The turnbuckle mechanism provides excellent control, allowing the therapist to adjust force in small increments. Place the orthosis around the leg and secure the straps. Then, using the turnbuckle, adjust flexion angle to allow a gentle extension force on the contracture. The orthosis is preset at 30 degrees flexion and 25 degrees hyperextension. If desired, a simple adjustment changes the range to 45 degrees flexion and 10 degrees hyperextension. This orthosis features a non-removable liner with terry cloth interior surface for comfort.
