Did someone say they saw a Hedgehog in the garden? An upright, urn-shaped aloe, Hedgehog blooms with spikes of coral-red flowers in spring and again in late summer. This is the perfect plant for hot, dry locations, and it makes quite an impression in the front border or as a container specimen, offering months of vibrant color. If it isnt cold hardy in your region, do what we do and bring in doors for months of enjoyment near a sunny window. As long as you dont bring it in wet after a big, fall rainstorm or over water it during the winter, it will thrive indoors and be ready to go the following spring when you can out it back outside.
